Stunning Charles X Ormolu & Cut Glass Clock

Superb Charles X ormolu mounted and waffle cut glass clock, circa 1825-1830. A most impressive clock with a silvered Roman dial and ‘Breguet hands’ within a foliate ormolu bezel, supported by a pair of hippocampi above a rectangular waffle cut glass body on an ormolu plinth standing on four feet—the eight-day French movement with silk suspended pendulum, bell strike on the hour and a half. The movement and pendulum impressed 3705. In beautiful condition throughout, the movement has been professionally overhauled and serviced.
